I'm not much of a knife expert, but I purchased this for my father for Christmas and he loves it. A good rule of thumb when buying gifts for men: when in doubt, buy a knife.

Summary: Pocket saw
It's a great small saw, used mostly by my son-in-law to cut off very small branches when log spliting or chopping down a dead tree. He loves it for their fire place. He thinks it may come in handy when fishing, as well.
